In the eighth edition of FEM, we invited renowned artists with many years of experience along with emerging artists to present their work. Some of the artists were selected in collaboration with Helena Hunter from Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance (UK) and by Anet Van de Elzen director of 24 Hours To Be Present (NL). There was a programme of artist-led workshops and public presentations by the artists of their work. The participating artists were: Rosa Galindo (ES), Koke Vega (ES), Mireia Zantop (CAT), Claire Nichols (UK), Sakiko Yamaoka (JP), Vlasta Delimar (HR), Milijana Babic (HR), Ieke Trinks (NL), Poppy Jackson (UK), Nathalia Mello (BR), Lauren Barri (US) and Hrafnhildur Benediktsdóttir (IS)
There were projections of performance videos in collaboration with Revista LaBolsa (ES), 24 Hours To Be Present (NL), Arteleku (ES), City of Women Festival (SL), and ELAA (European Live Art Archive (CAT). Parallel to the actions, and organised by FEM and UDG, the 2nd International Seminar of Performance and Live Art – In Dialogue With, took place at UDG with the participation of renowned critics of art and artists: Maite Garbayo (ES), Zara Rodriguez (ES), Fernanda Carrizo (AR), Esther Xargay (CAT) Piedad Solens (ES) and Denys Blacker (UK/CAT).
For the first time, FEM_11 collaborated with ELAA (European Live Art Archive) a project to interview the first generation of performance artists in Europe and that was initiated at the last edition of FEM.
